The relationship between you and your MindWell Canada therapist is professional and therapeutic in nature. The relationship exists solely for the purpose of providing mental health treatment and support.
3.2 Scope of Practice
Our therapists are licensed mental health professionals who practice within their scope of competence and professional regulations. Services are provided in accordance with:
- Provincial professional licensing requirements
- Professional codes of ethics
- Evidence-based treatment standards
- Applicable health and safety regulations
3.3 Treatment Limitations
While we strive to provide effective treatment, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes or results. Mental health treatment is a collaborative process that requires active participation from clients.
4. Client Responsibilities
4.1 Honest Communication
You agree to:

Therapists do not connect with clients on personal social media accounts to maintain appropriate professional boundaries.

You may terminate services at any time. We encourage discussion with your therapist about termination to ensure appropriate closure and referrals if needed.
12.2 Therapist-Initiated Termination
Therapists may terminate services for reasons including:
- Completion of treatment goals
- Need for different level of care

- Non-payment of fees
- Safety concerns
Appropriate notice and referrals will be provided when possible.
